it's been a week.

I'm sorry that I haven't updated this week. Drew has been sick....I have been sick....my washing machine is broken....I found out that I'm having surgery in October to have my gall bladder removed...It's just been one of "those" weeks where you just don't get accomplished what you want to.

I was able to get two more Simple Starts templates completed. Yay! So.....Tuesday the 29th....at Two Peas In a Bucket....Simple Starts No.1-3 will be offered for FREE again and No. 4 will be available for purchase at the awesome price of $0.99! Then, on October 6th, Simple Starts No. 5 & 6 will be available. I'm so excited and can hardly wait!

On the home front, this weekend it's soccer and even more soccer. There are only 3 weeks left of the season. It's hard to believe. Where does the time go?

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

September Mid-Month Garden @ 2peas

I'm a few days late in posting but......the September Mid-Month Garden and my very first "Garden Seeds" are up!

This month's seasonal topic is Fall and this is my contribution to the garden...

Supplies: Carina Gardner - Autumn Floral Festival. Michelle Underwood - Owl Love. Queen of Quirk - Totally Framed Vol 1. Chelsea Parsons - Grey Garden Spots. Tia Bennett - Joined at the Hip. Fonts - 2peas Old Type, 2peas Ocean Breeze and AL Worn Machine. Photo by Susannah Waechter.

The theme for this month is - Inspiration: Found Objects. I made this layout to document the fun my family has laughing at me...

Supplies: Michelle Underwood - Anticipation and Anticipation Solids. Tia Bennett - Joined at the Hip. Betsy Tuma - Happy Go Lucky Elated. Fonts - 2peas Cross Eyed and 2peas DW Journal.

I also have some exciting news. This week, after posting my free templates here on my blog, I was asked by 2peas to become a digital designer. I of course said, Yes! Yes! Yes! (literally) LOL. I'm really excited.

So, if you missed the downloads of my first 3 Simple Starts templates, don't worry. You will be able to get them from 2peas on Sept. 29 (for free!) and have the option of purchasing template #4 in my new series. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

free digital template no. 1

*ETA* The following download link is no longer active. It will be available again soon...in my new store @ 2peas! ;) ;) :)

Here it is...the first digital template in my "Simple Starts" series. I'm so excited to hear if you like it! It's a simple one, with only one photo but I promise to provide some with multiple photos for you guys too. :)

First of all, I want to thank my dear friend and mentor Jen Allyson. I have to give her TOTAL credit for the template colors I'll be using. I wanted to come up with something a bit original and not use the standard gray-scale color scheme. I came up with many, many color combos and she patiently kept telling me...no, that just doesn't work. Finally, she messed around with one for me and I fell in love. Jen is such a talented and generous designer. I couldn't ask for anyone better to mentor me. I love your guts Jen! (you know, I HAD to say that! lol)

Now, here's the download for you. There is a psd file and also a tif in case you don't use Photoshop. It's free, just make sure to link me to what you create. I can't wait to see! If you like the template make sure to keep checking back here this week. In fact....make sure to "follow me" (look to your left) and/or subscribe to my blog (upper right) and you can get email updates every time that I post.

Happy Monday! :)

a new design!

It's Friday already. How does the week go by so quickly? I've been busy working on my new blog design. I used Jen Allyson's upcoming Spot Color kits. You are going to LOVE them! The first set of kits is set to release on this coming Tuesday at 2peas.

I've also been busy creating digital templates. If you're a digi scrapper and love to use templates....what do you look for in a template? Do you like drop shadows included or do you like to create your own? Are you looking for a basic design or one that is very detailed? What is it that draws you to a certain template? Do you look for ones that include little extras? like an embellishment or an overlay? Next week I'm going to offer several freebies on my blog so make sure to come back and visit!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Kit for Kate

Remember my post Cards for Kate? Well, my lovely friend and super talented designer Crystal Wilkerson has created a digital kit in honor of Kate. It is available HERE for anyone who would like to donate (in any amount) to help the McRae family.

It's a beautiful kit and such a worthy cause. Please remember to keep Kate and her family in your prayers.

great news.

I usually don't blog two days in a row anymore but I had to share....The biopsy of the spot on my face came back 100% fine! What an answer to prayer for us. :)

I'm gearing up for the 3 day weekend. I can't wait to have the family home but today I really need to get working on a couple of assignments. Wish me luck.

What are your plans for the holiday?

relaxing thursday.

Credits: All kit can be found in the 2peas digital store. This is for the Weekly Challenge: Scraplift a GG. I just love Caroline's layout 384 Miles. Supplies: Michelle Underwood - Trendy. Jen Allyson - Study Hall (alpha. Kate Teague - Paige Mini Kit (I extracted her paper tear). Font - 2peas Fancy. Photo by Susannah Waechter.

It's Thursday and this Thursday is pretty special. I have zero plans. Nada! I am excited to say that my house is clean and I don't even have to worry about dinner (we always go to Nick's mom's on Thurs. nights). I just LOVE days like this. The weather should be beautiful so I'll open up the windows and get a wonderful breeze while working at my computer. ;)

Last night was AWANA leader training at church. It's great to be back into the swing of things after taking last year off. This year, I'll be working with 3rd-6th grade girls. It's going to be so much fun.

I need to call today and get the results from my skin biopsy. I'm praying that all is just fine since they haven't contacted me yet.

Any special plans for Labor Day weekend? As of yet we're not sure but I'd imagine it will include some grilling out and relaxing. Have a wonderful holiday! :)
