Summer is here. You can tell by the number of times that I haven't updated my blog. I've been a bad, bad blogger lately.

My trip to Arkansas was wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it. Getting to see my family meant a lot to me. My grandma is in bad health and I really treasure the time that I was able to spend with her. We even spent some time pouring over old family photos together. LOVE that. I was also able to bring home my 9 year niece, Sierra for part of the summer. I just love having a little girl in the house.

In scrappy news...I will no longer be designing for CM. It is definitely bittersweet. I will miss it but on the flip side I will now be able to concentrate fully on my digital work. Speaking of digital...I have decided to sell most of my traditional supplies. If you or anyone that you know might be interested, just send me an email at jmartakis@hotmail.com. I have 10 years worth of "stuff". There are lots and lots of tools, stamps, inks, cardstock, patterned papers, punches, embellishments and much, much more. ;)

I just have to say that I am so excited. I am driving to Arkansas the end of next week. I'm taking my mom and a few of the kids. We are going to visit my baby sister and my grandmother. It has been YEARS since I've seen them and I just can't wait. I have to say I'm a bit nervous since Nick won't be going due to work schedule conflicts. My mom doesn't really drive so I'll be on my own for 12 hours. It's a long drive but I've done it before. We'll be gone for only 4 days so it will be a short but sweet visit. I wonder what my house will look like when I get back.....Hmmm......

This past Friday we celebrated my oldest son's 17th birthday. It's amazing to me that he is so grown up already. I must say that I am truly proud of the man that he is becoming. Although it is a little bittersweet to come to terms with, I am excited for him and his future. I know that I haven't posted any pictures on my blog from prom but you can check them out on my Facebook if you'd like.....It's almost 4 in the morning and I really, really should drag my insomniac butt to bed. LOL

It's crazy. The boys have 3 days left of school. I think that I am almost as excited for summer break as they are. Our pool is open and I'm ready for relaxin' time with my kiddos. Are you looking forward to summer?
